Fri, 3 October 2008 ![]() Probably one of the great science fiction films of The Golden Age is William Cameron Menzies' "Things To Come," written by H.G. Wells. Made in 1936, "Things To Come" tells a 100-year story about a great world war that leaves the planet in ruins and how a group of scientists calling themselves Wings Over The World leads Earth into a new age. For its time, the special effects are quite good and the acting is pure 1930s cheese. But what I love best about this movie can be summed up in two words: Big Fuck-Off Helmets. Enjoy. -- FuzzyDave
