Sat, 19 July 2008 ![]() The latest report on the box office for Dark Knight have the film grossing $66.4 million on Friday, that's including the $18.5 million it took in on midnight/3 a.m. screenings (which beats the $16.9 million record set by Revenge of the Sith). Dark Knight is expected to take in well over $100 million this weekend. The question is, how much over 100 and will the film set a new record for biggest 3-day opening? The record to beat is Spider-Man 3, which bagged $151 million its opening weekend. As you can see, virtually every one of us at the GD Labs lowballed our prediction, making TheQuarterMexican the winner:
